Tony Costa, P.E., Founding Engineer (1946-2021)
Tony Costa is highly regarded for his knowledge in the design of energy efficient mechanical systems, which have earned clients and owners thousands of dollars in energy savings rebates. He has provided HVAC and plumbing engineering and design services in a wide variety of settings, including new and retrofit projects for commercial, governmental, medical, and institutional clients. His experience is immeasurable and includes more than 300 schools in the Northern California area, as well as a significant number of county facilities, medical facilities, commercial office buildings, restaurants, retail facilities, and wineries. Tony was invited to be a speaker at the 2007 annual ASHRAE conference in Long Beach, where he provided a presentation entitled, “Reducing Peak kW Demand at a California Campus”. He has published two articles in the ASHRAE Journal and is also a member of the ASHRAE Technical Committee TC-51 (Evaporative Cooling). Tony became an ASHRAE “Fellow” in 2015.
Tony retired in 2016, selling the business to Mat Simmons and Chris Del Core. He passed in 2021.
